Recent Activities
In addition to the routine activities, 2010 saw the launch of our Garden Scheme. This is a highly popular programme, in association with the Community Payback scheme, whereby work is undertaken to improve the gardens of elderly or otherwise vulnerable residents. It is based on the principle, fully accepted by the Police, that they are then less likely to be the target of crime.
Funded by a Home Office grant in 2010 and with the help of other support agencies, many homes of vulnerable people were fitted with home security devices.
