We presently have more than 2,000 NHW Coordinators registered with the Constabulary and there are almost 45,000 NHW Members in Cambridgeshire.   This website is for your use and it aims to provide you with all the information you may need to do your work as a NHW Member    -  be sure to let us know what you think about it and any improvements or additional material that might assist you in your neighbourhood.

Our aim is to inform all Members about the central coordinating direction and best practice for the conduct of Neighbourhood Watch across Cambridgeshire as approved by the Executive Group.    We wish to show how NHW is structured and managed across the County and to inform how to contact your County NHW Rep and Police Rep.   We aim to provide relevant useful sources of NHW information including guidance for protecting you and your neighbours from crime and ASB incidents and how best to report these incidents to the Police in your area.

The Executive Group comprises 14  County NHW Representatives and also 3 Police Representatives to cover the 6 new Police Districts and Policing Neighbourhoods across the County.    The Group meets regularly to discuss, agree and to actively promote and support the general direction of NHW best practice across Cambridgeshire.

• Scrap the Cashless Scrap Metal Trade
  Please help to assist the police by adding your signature to an Epetition to lobby HMG to outlaw this rapidly increasing menace of the trade in stolen metals through cash deals which cannot be audited through unscrupulous scrap metal dealers or traced to their suppliers of stolen metals.      We have over 56,000 signatures already.   It requires only 100,000 to activate the appropriate Dept to examine the required legislation changes.

• Six New Police Commands Across the County
  As the planned restructuring of the Cambridgeshire Police Force nears completion, six new Police Commands are being rolled out to replace the previous three Divisions structure.   To view the Police Commands map and the police community staffing currently in post, Click on Our New Police Commands on the Main Menu above.  Here you can also view the County NHW Reps and their assignments to the Police  Command Areas.
