Currently, the specific initiatives being addressed by the Executive Group, on your behalf, in liaison with Cambridge Constabulary are :-
- Maintain an effective NHW structure in the County that will interface with the existing and now emerging new Police Districts structure and one that facilitates effective two-way communication between NHW and the Police.
- Promote the maintenance of all Registered NHW Schemes within the County to form an accurate up to date database and make it accessible to Members of the Executive Group.
- Further the improvements in effective communication between County NHW and members schemes.
- Promote an increase in the number of “clustered” schemes which group a number of small villages / townships into a community forum for addressing crime and incidents jointly with Neighbourhood Police Teams (NPTs).
- Working with the police, continue to encourage, promote and assist the development of NHW schemes across the County.
